ENDORSEMENT FORM: To Oppose the Initiated Bill LD 974, An Act to Decrease the Automobile Excise Tax and Promote Energy Efficiency
Our organization opposes the Excise Tax Reduction Question.
The Auto Excise Tax Question would reduce the excise tax on newer model vehicles, and exempts "green vehicles" from sales tax in addition to the first three years of its excise tax, resulting in under-funded municipal services such as, plowing, sanding, and maintaining safe roads and bridges .
By signing this endorsement, we agree to help defeat the Excise Tax Repeal and protect the values that Maine people hold dear. We also agree that our name may be used as part of Citizens Unified for Maine's Future coalition on public materials and be listed as an organization opposed to the Excise Tax Repeal on the Citizens Unified for Maine's Future website (you will not be listed as a PAC member).
